About the Cody Walk

cody walkers holding Cody Banner

The Cody Walk, now in its fifth year, was created to bring together people in the developmental disabilities community and those who care in a fun and energetic atmosphere, encouraging all to speak out and be heard.

The 2010 Cody Walk will kick off on Sunday, April 25, at 9:30 am at the Wang Center on the campus of Stony Brook University. This year’s Walk will include children's activities, music, and an indoor resource center. Participants will enjoy a casual 2.2 mile stroll while raising money for research, education and community programs.

Our 2010 fundraising goal is $20,000! With your support, we can make it! Please sign up to be a Team Captain, Walk as an Individual or Make a Donation.

On Long Island, over 80,000 people have been diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities. With your support, we can help to improve the lives of these individuals and their families.

Register today and make a bold statement on your own by raising funds for a great cause or join an existing team and enhance your Cody Walk experience.
